  • Muslims for Humanity Is a relief non-profit organization focused primarily on local relief work. Many mosques provide a range of community services, especially focusing on prayer services and Islamic education. Some may provide some form of zakat giving or occasional local and international relief campaigns. • We started at the height of Covid-19 during the lockdown with the goal to raise some money online to give to Muslim families in need in the Greater Danbury area. We discovered that many families were in dire need of assistance to pay for food, rent, and bills, and this continues to be the case today. We continue to do this noble work through the help of our donors and volunteers and our partnerships with other organizations in the area.

  • Muslims for Humanity is empathic and completely understands the need for privacy for community members who receive donations. We make every effort to ensure that the privacy of the community members receiving the help is protected. In fact, only a small number of team members on the Relief Application Review Committee who approve relief payment applications are privy to their private information. These team members have taken a privacy oath to NOT divulge any information about the recipients. We want the community members in need to feel safe that their privacy will be respected.
